Admission Criteria

›› B.Sc Nursing

    ELIGIBILITY AND PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSION
  • Candidate must have completed the age of 17 years, on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
  • A candidate shoud have passed in the subject of physics, chemistry, biology(PCB) and english individualy and must have obtained minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB at qualifying examination (10+2).
  • Candidate also eligible from state open school recognized by state government and National Institute of Open school (NIOC) recognized by central Government having science subjects and English only.
  • English is a compulsory subject in 10+2.
  • Candidate shall be medically fit. However, colour blind candidates should be considered for admission to Nursing courses subject to the condition that colour corrective contact lens and spectacles are worn by such candidates.
  • Candidate shall be admitted once in a year.

    Minimum education eligibility criteria for admission to GNM
  • 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at qualifying examination and English individually from any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government
  • 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the School recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
  • 40% of marks in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized CBSE board/State/Centre.
  • Registered ANM with pass marks.
  • ANM Minimum qualification 10+2 pass in any stream.
For foreign nationals
  • The entry qualification equivalency i.e., 12th standard will be obtained by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. Institution, State Nursing Council will be rsponsible to ensure that the qualification and eligibility will be equivalent to what has been prescribed as above.
Documentation
  • Application must be submitted to the Principal, Institute of Nightingale Nursing Institute, V.P.O. Narangwal Kallan, Ludhiana on the prescribed form with the following documents:
    • Photocopy of certificate passing 10+2.
    • Photocopy of marks obtained in the above said examination.
    • Photocopy of higher qualification certificate, if any.
    • Photocopy of matriculation Certificate: (i) Detail Marks (ii) Date of Birth.
    • One copy of recent passport size photograph (to be pasted on the form).
    • A certificate of good character from the head of the institute last attended.
    • One self addressed envelope bearing Rs. 6 /- stamps.
    • Photocopy (attested by the principal of College/School last attended) of the Gazette of 10+2 examination.
    • CURBING THE MENACE RAGGING
    • Ragging of any nature by any student or any person is a serious punishable offence and must be reported to warden/teacher/principal or management immediately. The order of the honourable supreme court of India regarding punishment for ragging is as follows:-
    • IF ANY INCIDENT OF RAGGING COMES TO THE NOTICE OF THE AUTORITIES THE CONCERNED STUDENT SHALL BE GIVEN LIBERTY TO EXPLAIN AND IF HIS EXPLANATION IS NOT FOUND SATISFACTORY, THE AUTHORITIES WOULD EXPEL HER FROM INSTITUTION.
